Kenny Phelps-McKeown

Durham native Kenny Phelps-McKeown studied bass at Florida State University under Rodney Jordan and Marcus Roberts. He has performed with Christian Scott and Les DeMerle among many others, and currently enjoys playing with local artists Elmer Gibson and Emily Musolino in addition to freelance work of all styles.

Bassist, Buster Williams’ career is entering 60 decades. He has performed and recorded with it seems everyone including Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughn, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, Art Blakey, Cedar Walton and on and on.
