Baron Tymas

Baron Tymas is a guitarist, composer and former NC Central University music professor who now resides in Montréal, Canada and in Durham.  Currently a professor at Concordia University in Montréal, he spent over twenty years teaching in NCCU’s great Jazz Program. This performance welcomes the release of Have You Ever Seen the Sun. his fourth album as a leader. The project features outstanding musicians from the US and Canada, including an ensemble of NCCU faculty and alumni.  This Sharp 9 performance features the North Carolina-based musicians on it, plus some special guests. Come join us for a night of grooving, colorful and adventurous music, played by this special ensemble.
